Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American British musician and sitarist. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and the first female to receive it. In addition to nine Grammy nominations She was also the first Indian-born musician to perform during the ceremony live. Anoushka is a new star on the rise in Indian sitar. She is both the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. Her childhood was spent bouncing back and forth from London in the UK to New Delhi.
